Excessive length of taproot in seedlings

I have taproots of 5cm in length and it is causing the seedlings to sag, they are too long. What can I do, just plant them a bit deeper in the soil leaving about 1-2cm for the cotyledons depth? Please help, not sure what to do.
- Started in soil, sowing date was 28/03, had seaweed spray water for first two days.

Hey bbmf, looks like not enough light to me, prop them up straight with toothpicks or whatever you got, get the proper lights at the proper distance and within a few days they'll stop going up and the stems will get fatter.
planting deeper(I.e. Adding a little dirt on top) might work but you'll also add an extra layer between roots and air. Might be counterproductive.

I agre. When you transplant bury all that stem you don't want. It will develop roots overtime

Hi brilliant thank you for the advice, I will replant them deeper, the light will be problematic as they are an outdoor grow. Three diff strains, three from some weed I bought at Bob Marleys house in Jamaica, 2 Northern Lights Blueberry Fem and 1 Kush. Fingers crossed, its not very warm outside!!!

No, not from the hope road museum, from Bob Marleys actual birthplace in Nine Mile Jamaica. I bought some herb there and it had lots of seeds some of which I kept.
