[Emergency] Dying plant - Possible nitrogen deficiency

Radiant Oats

Hi all,
I am a first time grower. My plant are getting more yellow by the day. I used the kind soil set up; half happy frog, half kind soil. I suspect I just didn't plant it deep enough but i fear i will kill the plant. I even bought flora bloom since they just started their 12-12. I have 2 others with similar but less severe symptoms. I am super scared of killing this plant, i saved up for quite some time to finally grow. It would suck super bad if it died... I need help please. I have will attach pictures the most affected one. These pictures are almost 24hr old and the yellow true leaves are worst. I fed them filtered water last night pith ph of ~7, the flora bloom water was also ~7; I used normal tap water for most of the grow with ph of ~8. I don't know what the problem is anymore, could it be the ph??

I'm scratching my head a bit here. I know with kindsoil if you have a 5 gallon pot, you add 5 pounds of the kindsoil and the rest is your filler media. 3 gal, 3 pounds etc..

Is your soil packed down well enough? Only the big leaves seem affected. How far into bloom are you?

Definitely yes. 7 is a high ph. It should be at 6.5 for best results. 7 is five times more alkaline than 6.5 I recommend a flush with 6.5ph water. Try to give al least the whole pot capacity of water and let drain ALL IN 20 minutes. Damp wet roots for more than that could rot. They will recover but you're harvest will be delayed if not diminished

A living soil has a wider range you can input. It should be able to buffer 5.5-7.5 with no problems. It's easier for them to buffer acidic water.

Sorry, I have another question... what are you using to drop your ph. Kindsoil only recommends earth juice ph down.

I started flowering stage on sunday. The leaves started turning yellow like tuesday, wednesday. I purchased and used flora bloom friday @1:30am and friday 1:30pm, and @ 1:30am i just used the filtered water since it only got worst and I am getting more unsure my the day.

surprisingly it dropped when i added the flora bloom. I only bought the ph tests because the tutorial mentioned it could be a ph problem. Was gonna purchase some hydroponics ph down but will go with earth juice if thats is what's recommended.

Well they are auto flowering strain. Incredible bulk, gorilla glue, and ak-47. The bulk is furthest and wanted to help encourage the rest to make haste. I am also super confused on what to do at the moment. Also it is the strain of the picture.

Ok, just ordered the fastest shipping for the best price, i got the ej double down with 2 day shipping. Do you think the plant will die in the meantime? Should i continue with using flora bloom or just the filtered water?

Hello Radiant

Take a deep breath, slowly let it out!

I see you're in a tent and the plants have just recently started losing fan leaves. What is the feeding schedule your using..And have you been giving more water then normal? They don't like change.

So what has changed since you noticed leaves turning yellow? Ph is very important but it looks like something else

2 major changes and a minor 1. 1 being the switch to 12/12, 2 being the addition of flora bloom. The minor was the switch from tap water to filtered water because of the higher ph levels in tap water. These changes are from within this week because of the nitrogen deficiency symptoms that has started. And it is nearing light out till 1:30am; will post the other plants.

As of 1pm PST. Close up of most affected areas then of whole plant. GG and Ak show what bulk went through 1st. I tried my best to keep every amount of water I give the same. I also wait for the soil to be dry 1st knuckle deep before watering again as recommended. Also bloom was introduced when bulk at the time of OG pic which was friday ~2am. about 30 minutes after lights on. I hope this is enough info. please ask if you need more.

Incredible Bulk

Radiant, and some first time growers. The best advise I can give you is this: 1. Get some 3 gal. pots. 2. get some GOOD soil. like Roots Organics or Fox Farm Ocean Forrest. 3. Get some good Nutes. I use fox Farm Trio, but there are others. That is all you need. Plant you seeds and don't give them any Nutes for the first month. Just PHd water. With a PH of 6-7. Then watch you babies grow. I have been growing for over 6 years now and never have found a need for anything else. Other then Bug spray. For the first grow, just let it grow as it wants. Later you can learn all the different methods. You can save yourself a lot of money this way. I just think that soil is the easiest for first time growers. Again, my $.02

PS. Practice with some Bag seeds. Won't cost anything.

2 of my 4 autos died early on. Due to root rot over watering early on. The other two are great. Live and learn. I have 3 more about to drop. Fingers crossed
