Just seeking some opinions, my set up raises my electric bill about 80 dollars a month. Should I be worried about the increase as well as fluctuations since my system is down now but will be up again in a couple weeks. I tend to think no worries but I don't wanna get too confident. Should I take any specific precautions? Does big brother really spend time watching home electric usage?
 
I would Think you need a bigger difference in use before they notice. But i've "heard" about people caught by helicopter IR heat camera. Where the truth ends and the urban myths start is a mystery to me.Tho a dash of paranoia gets you longer than total naivety imo.
 
When it gets down to it thay need numbers,a quota system doesent matter big or small as long as the quota is met.lol
 
The Feds are using drones around here,ther looking for snow melting off the roof prematurely.heat from lights is the cause.Just because your paranoide doesent mean ther not out to get u.Stay on the dark side till its safe to come out!
 
yeah i wondered that same thing with my setup. normally before the grow my electric was 30-40 bucks a month. now it is about 150 plus the 30 - 40 a month. it's legal here but that is how people here in the past got caught with spikes in electric usage and the flyovers. here we see a lot of flyovers in the summer time for outdoor grows which is not legal unless it's in a greenhouse and you cannot see it (plants) from the second story of a neighbors house. if you stay under the radar things should be ok.
 
They are now installing digital electric readers that report your use so you can get a more realistic electric price as some countrys export power at night and import at daytime vis versa, it results in different prices per kW. I think they can see that 12/12 pretty easy. Been thinking about that and if you have 1 vegroom and 2 flower rooms when one flowerroom goes dark the other goes bright. A reley would automaticly do that job hooked up to a timer.
 
Let's add to this buying grow tents, grow lights, nutrients (even worst nutrients with marijuana on the label) all done with your credit card/debit and sent to your home. There are so many ways to track growing. Do what you can to be safe and do not get lazy about it. After that forget it and sleep well at night with a little help from your green friend.
 
Ok, I've done all the bad things outlined above. Now I feel like Jeff Sessions is gonna swoop down on his broom and say, I've got you, you tatted up lady, and your little dog, too. Then he will force me to join the KKK and smoke with them. A fate worse than death.
 
Right there with you! The thing that helps me feel better is the fact that the dealers I used to buy from have been operating for years with impunity. If they're not after them, they sure as hell can't give 2 shits about little old me in the privacy of my own home. I don't sell, it doesn't smell, and I haven't told a soul, they've got more important things to do than try and dredge some shit up flying s plane around or perusing my electric bill for anomalies.
 
007, I know, right???? But this thread got me so paranoid I flushed all my bud down the toilet, incinerated everything that I could in my wood stove--all my cones, rolling papers, cannabis books--, took my grow box apart and distributed it into 15 different trash bins around town (removed all finger prints first), smashed my bong and my oil rig, and registered as a republican just to be on the safe side.
 
Bwahahahahaha alltatup trust me folks they are not going to waste fuel and government funds to bust a small fry and your electric company is just rolling around in their beds with your extra $100 in electronics, unless you make 250K/year or have enough shit worth that much you aren't even in the Feds radar. Law enforcement has bigger fish to fry and a ton of backlash to deal with like the illegal gun trade and growing Heroin epidimic, they aint worried about a bunch of potheads with green thumbs.
