Effect of too much Cal-Mag

Hi all, I wonder if cannabis can suffer from too much Cal-Mag. With nutrients, plants will show if too much is given with nuteburn, I wonder if excess of Cal-Mag would affect the plant or if the plant simply takes what it needs and let the surplus aside. I am starting to put 1ml per liter of watering solution, as indicated on the CaliMagic I got from General Hydroponics. I also added Dolomic Lime to my coco medium when I prepared it. Am I safe to put the Cal-Mag supplement? I am ending week 4 of flowering for my photo indica, and at week 4 also with started auto, expecting to collect buds in about 10 weeks. Are your plants indicating a need for Cal-mag? Generally speaking, and according to Nebula's tutorials on nutrients, you can't add too much cal-mag. However, your addition of Lime initially to the coco may change the chemical structure so it is difficult to say for sure. I doubt it would hurt but as You are guessing, so am I. Hopefully someone else may have more knowledge of soil chemistry.

An excess of a nutrient can cause lockout of other nutrients. I sometimes add cal-mag when fertilizing but I grow in nutrient rich soils and much of the nutrient need is already there. I thought I read somewhere that an excess of calcium can cause nitrogen lockout but I can't confirm that now.

What PeterMatanzas said. I grow in coco and I had the same thought but my research led to the understanding about the lockout problem.

Make sure you rinse your coco in cal mag enriched water prior to using.

Gotta agree here. You can give too much calcium and Will lockout pottasium and magnesium (ironically)
