My Living Soil Recipe vs the Earth Box fertilizer pack
Not to toot my own horn 📯 but I shall! My living soil (despite the finicky GBoF) is performing WAY better than the Earth box nutrients. That's not to say there's anything wrong with the earth box nutrients. They're growing some SOLID flower. Rock hard solid, too!
The living soil just has an edge. The buds are almost 2x the size and width as the earth box ones. They look a bit frostier too. That's about it. The buds are just bigger. Both boxes smell FREAKING AMAZING. Good Lord, I think this will be the BEST grow to date. No runts, bad genetics, weird anomalies or anything of the sort. Just 4 beautiful, solid plants with the most amazing terpene profiles.
The 🇠on the Grape Balls of Fire smells like fresh concord grapes. Down to the leather shell you get from their skins. She's super magnesium hungry. I just added langbienite to the top soil. 9.0% soluble magnesium. She's got 1 month to go. I'm not adding anything else. If she's going to cannibalize herself; let her. Those buds are THICC already
The 2x Uncle Grandpa's still smell like Ludens cherry💠cough drops with an incensey, fragrant like gas.
The Mandarin Zkittlez smells like fresh orange 🊠peels in jet fuel maybe. It's a very sharp gas smell. It doesn't have that dank gasoline it's more effervescent.
The Cross smells like lemonade ðŸ‹.
I'm super happy with this variety in flavor. It's ✅ every box for me... Especially the ease of growth. I've just been asking water every 2 days. Fertilizer top dress 1x a month and BTI with recharge or soil revival every 2 weeks to keep the gnats away.
Also smoked this AMAZING stuff over the weekend. Holy hell does it smell like the ass end of a skunk but man oh man oh man..... The high..... SPECTACULAR. So giggly, so social, so buzzy. I see why Colorado is going nuts over this cultivar. I think I may have to look for some seeds of this. IDK about growing it because of that HEAVY heavy skunk smell. I can hide the fruity smells but I can't hide skunk.

Posted a 1-year update of my Worm Bin. I did the hard reset 2 months ago when I collected the castings. You'll be surprised how much work the little critters do.

Getting to the end 💪🌸
What a great finish this will be. The Earthbox nutrients are killing it! Only now, I'm seeing some fade happening. It's literally been WATER ONLY the whole grow. I'm glad I have 3x more packages. That means 3x more grows that will be worry free. Just have do a taste test
The Living Soil side is growing fatter flowers even though the Grape Balls of Fire looked like it had deficiencies but the flowers keep on stacking. They've doubled in size since I noticed the discoloration. Now I'm just loving how spotty it looks. So unique.. like plant vitiligo ðŸ˜
My BIGGEST CONCERN..... I just hope they don't all finish at the same time 🤣 I think I'm only going to be able to fit one plant at a time maybe two at a time into the Cannatrol..... And that's if I wet trim from the get go. I need to save for a second one of these magic cure boxes. It works so fantastically and it keeps my buds harvest fresh. If I had an extra room that I could turn into a dry and cure room then I wouldn't have bothered with it. But with my apartment being so small. This thing is a godsend. The growing plants get to be in their perfect environment the blooming plants get to be in their environment and the harvested stuff gets its own perfect environment. And it all coexists in one room. Perfection imo.
The seedlings are doing well. The Acai Freak is side branching nicely. I'm a week, I'll be taking cuttings and tossing the main plant into bloom to sex it. The FreakShow is still growing slow AF. One of the 3 is topped and slowly side branching. REALLY SLOWLY.
My clones of my cross are dying to get out of those small pots. They are healthy and bushy. Ready to go another round. And she will. I'll cover them in the next post.

It's been almost 8 days for my cross. I trimmed her and weighed her up. I got 27g of amazing smelling flower from a 1 gallon pot. Not bad at all! She smells amazing. She's got the structure of blue dream but the scent of Mac1. Very curious how the 2 flavors will play out. I'll have a smoke report in another week. Very excited about this one. If the taste and high are good, I'll be growing either 1 or both of those clones.
Next grow is going to be ALL COCO. I'm excited because I love my peat. It's going to be organic vs mineral. Nature's Living Soil vs Grow Dots. Water Only challenge. I can't wait!!! Still not sure which cultivars I'm going to grow. It all depends on what happens with these seedlings. I do want to avoid Ethos Genetics this round. I love Ethos but I want to try other breeders. I had great success with Humboldt and Going2fast genetics. I want to try some other breeders. Never know when you'll find the ones you love.
I have seeds from Super Natural Seeds, apparently an all female breeder group! Super cool imo. I feel female breeders and growers are WAY underrepresented in the community. That's why I wanted to try some seeds from them. I also have seeds from Purple Caper. I know they are a company known for their breeding male plants. They supply crazy good pollen to breeders. I'm curious how their feminized plants will be. I have a grape Caper seed from them. The rest is all Ethos and Blimburn...... Yeah I have SO MANY Blimburn seeds. I was getting them for free so why not but now I don't even want to grow them after I lost my blue dream due to herming. The rest are B/W label seeds. Those are hit or miss. Just going to have to see where the seedlings are at the end of this month.

Bluey by looks, yeah probably. I only had one better than this and it was also Ethos... Same 2 cultivars 🤣 Mandarin Zkittlez and UG. I think I will surpass the yield this time. Still room for improvement so each grow is always the best one yet. The lilac diesel was not one of the best lolol but you know they can't all be winners

I've been going nuts these past few days with these fungus gnats in the apartment. Trying to figure out where they're all coming from. There's none in my earth boxes. None in the house plants. Then I see them on the container. These clones are INFESTED with gnats. Holy hell! They're coming out like Night of the Living Dead. That smudge is 6 that I killed with my thumb in one go. I treated it with a HEAVY dose of BTI and I sprayed with neem. ..... I've been throwing some mosquito bits on top of the soil every so often but apparently that was not enough. They just took hold. Glad I figured it out though lololol. Not sure why it's only those effected when they've been around other plants but that's fine. Not gonna complain about that.
Also I've been working on focus stacking and I have a few pictures to share with everyone. Mind you, I have NO IDEA what I'm doing when it comes to camera stuff. This is my first ever DSLR camera. I'm just learning what ISO, shutter speed and aperture are and what they do. I've NEVER used editing software (not even ms paint) so I have no idea what anything does. I know what the crop tool does and that's about it.
So while learning how to camera, I'm simultaneously learning how to edit RAW images and then processing them in GIMP. It's just a lot of clicking and undoing then redoing to learn what the tools do.
It's a bit overwhelming honestly..... But I'm trying.

I'm nearly crying over here!!!! This grow... THIS GROW!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Day 58 of Bloom. We are right in the window of harvest and it's showing! The girls are looking so amazing.
All the buds look so freaking amazing!!!! They are frosty, they have color, they have rosettes, they have hairs, they have the smells and everything in between. This grow has SURPASSED my expectation. It was a shakey start with the GBoF and Mandarin worse for wear. They bounced back and then some.
The Grape Balls of Fire is turning purple all over with the green spots. Freaking coolest looking plant I've grown. So photogenic. I got so many likes on Instagram for that picture. So make new followers. She's getting milky too, so the purple underneath is really highlighting all the trichomes. She is a STUNNER ðŸ˜. She's not lacking in the terpene department either. She smells like grape nerds candy. Like molten candy where it almost stings the nose with the sweet grape smell. I almost want to take a bite out of her.
Both of the UGs are smelling NUTS. Wow. The gas is so strong that it literally BURNS YOUR NOSE 👃 It's the most spicy perfumy incensey type of gas over ludens cherry cough drops. Compared to the GBoF, she's ugly. She's def not a looker but mgl those terpenes are so loud. So incredibly strong and on top of that, she's a yielder. There's going to be 4oz on there easy and then some.
The Mandarin Zkittlez has my second favorite morphology. She's got those beautiful rosette like structure. Just little twists of goodness on each branch. Coated with frost. She's also picking up some dark colors. They are really helping contrast the ripening trichomes. She smells like berry citrus candy or punch. I was hoping more for orange terpenes but it's okay. She smells delicious. Not heavy on the gas but it's a really nice DEEP berry smell.
The 2nd UG IDK...I can't tell who's louder. This one is even MORE gassy if you can believe it. It starts to sting the nose from far away. It's hard to even smell the cherry because your being assaulted with the strong gas smell. So excited. This is probably my top 1 or 2 cultivar, so that's why I grew 2x. I love it. I went through hell to get the seeds and over paid for them but it's okay. Worth it because ..... Those terpenes are just EVERYTHING!!!! IDK why this cultivar didn't do well. Just a wild smell.

Just days to go. I can't chop all 4 at the same time. I need to do them 8 days apart at least. The scary part is they look like they are all going to be ready at the same time. I think I'm gonna do the 2x3 first just because it's more tight. More chance of mold. I'll probably be chopping this weekend. Maybe Sunday maybe Monday. Exciting exciting exciting.
I also have my next project under way. Just got the last piece delivered today and I'm ready for the next round!!! It's going to be a doozy. All Coco. NO PEAT AT ALL!! After this grow, I'll pick my favorite performing nutrients and do peat vs Coco with the winning nutrients.
I'm going to be recording everything and putting videos up on YouTube. Images on Instagram. It's all about to get so lit 🤣 Having a blast growing and I'm loving the time lapse and videos. It's all just clicking so well. Might be a future in this 🤔

I planted 2x feminized seeds. 1x Sour Orange by Super Natural Seeds and Grape Caper by Purple Caper Seeds. That will make the 4x in the earth boxes. Then the stand out is the Freakshow. If any of these are a female, I'm be running her in the fabric pot with GH liquid nutrients. I'm the most worried about this one but if I see it's not going great, I can always just go organic really quick to save the grow. Hopefully I won't need to. Still waiting for the feminized seeds to pop but that's the line up so far.
One of my cacti got corrupted by slime mold. It was too wet by the windows in the kitchen. I had to move the cacti to a drier spot in the house. I took inventory of all my seeds. Trying to organize future grows and projects. I took advantage of the slime mold on the cactus to prescribe my macro photography. I posted some videos on my YouTube page. Just got lots of cool stuff in the works. From woodworking and building instruments to photography and videography to growing plants. It's all just coming together full circle and I LOVE IT

Some Trichome shots of all 4 girls. The first photo is a focus stacked shot using 5 photos taken at different focal points and layered together for that really good hi resolution picture.....at least to the best of my current ability. The rest are just using the phone and a jeweler's loupe. I think the Mandarin looks the readiest of all of them and send is her pot mate. I think they will be coming down Sunday for sure. Just 2 more nights of growing for them.
