Early root rot?

Hey all,
Anyone want to weigh in on what's going on with my roots? They aren't brown, but the parts of the roots in open air have a light green to them and it's making me worry. I am using hydroguard and I've done everything possible to keep the res temp down and get all the light leaks. I've also got a bottle of Great White I'm going to try out with my next res change.

Howdy Agentbuckwold3, Does the 'green' stain rub off of the roots when they are touched? Also, is there any drip or feeder lines to the roots, in Your system? If it is green algae growing on the surface of the roots, then unless there is irrigation applied to the roots, any additive to prevent algae growth (unless the herbicide is systemic) will not stop the growth there without the water flowing over the roots.. If the green color is inside of the root material, then there could be a small light leak some where near by. I have seen roots (exposed to the light) start to develop chlorophyll in them.
Your plant looks to be healthy so maybe it is nothing to worry about, just keep a good watch on her for any possible symptoms to appear.

Thanks for the information DW2, there is no drip system, it's just standard DWC. I'll have to check when I get home if it comes off. I didn't want to go tampering with the roots until I got a more experienced opinion. If it is green algae what's my best course of action for treatment?
 
Agentbuckwold3 , I enlarged the third photo and looked closer at it. It looks like some light might be leaking into the reservoir, maybe around, or thru, the tubing on the right hand side. Try to block out the leak, or better yet, change the all of the clear tubing out with black or opaque tubing. The clear side walls of the tubing can act like light conduits and allow light into the reservoir. With all of the light leaks blocked, the 'green' should fade away in a few days. If it was algae, there are many products available, with hydrogen peroxide being the least expensive and less harmful to the plants.

Like DW2 pointed out, the first thing I noticed was the clear airline tube. To some degree it acts like fiber optic cable. Best thing to use is drip line. I tape all penetrations with gorilla tape.
 
My plants have a habit of making me feel like an idiot so don't feel lonely Agentbuckwold3 . Your doing a great job with your plant, keep up the good work.
 
Thanks DAAS it's a learning process for sure. I'm just happy I've made it this far and haven't killed her yet. I NEVER saw myself cultivating anything and I sure as hell didn't think I would have this much fun doing it.
 
Oh yeah your gonna have some fine bud to smoke before to long so keep up the good work. It is lots of fun too isn't it.
 
It is. My wife gets jealous when I come home from work, give her a little peck, and run to my grow box to see how my other girl is doing lol.
