Early growth problems

Hi folks,

I am rather new to growing and a bit worried about my plants (3 amnesia haze and 3 bubblegum). I am using 2x450W LED fixtures in a 4x4 grow tent with 6 plants. The LEDs were about 24" from the plants when the problem started showing up. I am using an oxygen pot ebb&flow hydro system (bottom up bucket full) with coco/Perlite medium, and a nutrient blend from the general hydroponics sample kit (week 2 mix). Ph is 6.4. Nutrient solution ppm is 1000. Using RO water in nutrient blend with cal-mag solution added. The first week after I transplanted the seedlings into the 5 gal coco pots, the plants were doing really well and grew fast. The temps have always been around 72-77F and humidity around 55%. After I changed from the week1 to the week2 nutrient blend, I had a couple days where temp went up to 80F and humidity went down to 35 for one day. After that I started noticing some plants start to curl up at the edges of the leaves, mainly the ones directly under the light. I rotated them out to the side pots thinking this might be heat stress. I then lifted the LEDs up to 28", and made sure temps don't go above 77. I am still seeing these symptoms in the new growth. The new growth seems a little glossy and blistered. I saw a tiny bit of white fuzz on the coco, but not sure if it was just dirt. I saw one fruit fly in the tent. The plant growth seems to have slowed down. It seems to me they are really dry, so I started flooding them with he nutrients once a day instead of once every 3 days. Waiting to see if they get better. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Thank you

Hey Skiliffon, welcome to the "fu#@ what did I do?"
Ummmm, I think you answered your own question," so I started flooding them with he nutrients once a day instead of once every 3 days."
Drown them with love Skiliffon, NOT water with tons of nutrients every day.
Cuz that's what your doing.
Sorry about the coco part, I don't grow with that. But I'm sure someone will answer that.
And check with the manufacturers stats about how close to have your lights. Mine is never over 24".

Your plants are looking pretty healthy.
Ppm 1000 is too high for daily feeding imo. Also your ph is too high. Use the hydro ph range. I use 5.6 for soilless and hydro. Some prefer 5.8. The plants need a ph range in order to best function, but the ph generally swings upwards on its own which is the thinking behind aiming low.

I'ii put both the above in one..Get ur Ph from 5.6 to 5.8 or 6.0 if you wish,i found (drip-irrigation system) 5.8 is my Φ so..Also nutes go on a steady dose, you can't feed double times with the same nutes..divide the initial feed to the galons/times you feed!Other than that ( I still think it's the Ph and not the nutes) plants look great!
