Dwc top feed recirculating system

Good afternoon I want to build a new system for my plants. i use just a standard bucket system with airstones easy I have extra buckets so changing out the water each week is not a hassle. But I want to scrog. So I think I have come up with a solution to my problem. I want to use 2 3.5 gal buckets propped up on a stand hight tbd. Then I am going to run a drain hose from the buckets with gate valves on each one and pipe them back to a 5 gal bucket. Then place a 100 gph pump into the 5 gal and run to a manifold with 3 out let's 2 for the top feed 1 for a drain to pump the system I each having a gate valve. Also I am still going to be pumping 500 gph of air through the stones into each plant pots.
Is this somthing that will work and how should I build the top feed do I just run it over the clay pebbles I am not real sure how this part should be done.
Thanks

Also how much under the net pot would be an optimal water line I right now fill to just under the net pot it works out to an even 10 liters and in 7 days it's got about 4 inches in the bottom left. But with this new system I will have another 20 liters so I shouldn't lose fluid so fast.

I've never grown hydro but yeah I think just below the net pots is good.

How big is your tent?
With the new system, are you going to have your res in the tent or externally?

After my roots will reach the reservoir I lower the water level until there is about a two inch gap between the bottom of the net pot and my water. Most people that grow in hydro do. The water level is usually left up higher closer to the bottom of the net pot in the beginning so when the air bubbles pop it keeps the medium and seedlings wet.

Done that was a mission the building took me about 2 hrs as I was on cruse mode and of corse everything I make my 3 yr old daughter helps with so much fun.
It took me 2 days and 3 states to get the parts done found an awsome Hydroponic store in Massachusetts that was very professional and had everything I needed. Man hydroponic stores are a trip but that's another post I am happy with my system I built and I'll post pictures installed later tonight lights on after 630.
