DST shortened the night to 11 hours?

So last night was an 11 hour dark - right?

I added an hour to the timer.

I never change my light timer-the plants don't follow DST, just the sun. I'm the one who has to remember when my lights come on and off.

In my case the timer is linked to my phone so it would have meant 11 hrs of night last night because the timer "knew" about daylight savings. I didn't want them to get some weird 12/12 - - 13/11 - - 12/12 and grow balls.

And let me take this opportunity to say I hope we spring forward and never go back

That difference won't hermie your plants; it's the interruption of the dark period that can cause problems.
