Drying question

I chopped one of my girls a couple days ago, out of necessity to control that beautiful odor I hung it in the tent to dry, I still have one growing though. Will being exposed to light as it drys hurt the potency ? I've always had the notion that it's best to dry in dark.

Darker the better, temps should be lower than what your uncut plant needs FYI...can you isolate/separate your drying buds from the plant with a piece of black visqueen? That'd help with light exposure and lower temps a bit maybe...

Never tried it myself, I always dry and cure in the dark, but from everything I've read light will destroy the potency of your buds, literally burn off the THC.

Do you have enough room in your tent for a tall cardboard box? You could use that for drying and keep most of light out.

Good idea PuravidaC, maybe there's a way the cardboard box could have it's own vent to aid in airflow/exchange.

Yeah, I have seen suggestions for opening the top, or side, as little or as much as needed for ventilation.
