Drying buds

when do buds start to actually smell like buds? I'm currently drying and the buds all smell like a grassy smell. I'm assuming after a few weeks of curing

After they cure. Maybe a month or more. Get the humidity control packets for inside the jar. Mine are just coming around. Nice change. Change in flavor, smoothness and effect also. Curing is a good thing. As is flushing.

What strain is it? I have grown Northern Lights from Nirvana twice the first harvest I ruined it so it didn't smell like Marijuana at all I still have some and it's brown and smells like tobacco..lol.. I recently harvested my second grow and although it doesn't smell like a strong marijuana strain it does smell better and kind of weedy is that even a word?? That's the reason for choosing this strain I needed stealth and that low marijuana smell is perfect.. Now from what I understand after curing or the reason for curing is to get rid of that fresh harvested grassy smell.. my harvest has been curing for two weeks now and the smell smoothness and effect have gotten better and better now it's like some top shelf bud from dispensarys. I love it..

Howdy, hope the final stages go well. 🐸 Depending on the strain and its profile of terpenes, the aroma when drying should at least be evident. But it's when the dried buds get jarred and begin curing...great fragrances should intensify, and when the jar get opened....yummy to the nose! 🐽

I wasn't sure I was doing it right first time I dried a harvest, because they smelled like nothing. Only took one day in the jar and they smelled like no bud I had ever smelled before. Incredible

I have about 3 grams inside of a jar...how often should I burp...?
