Does it hurt weed to expose stems to light from defoliation?✨

Green75 If you read this, what do you think? 【・_・?】Ok, I know I've been asking weird questions lately....... I've been reading about defoliation and seeing how it works & I like what I see! ✂️🍃

But.... I was at the garden store to buy an orange tree. It looked like a little bush and the employee told me NOT to remove the bottom leaves to make it look like a tree instead of a bush. He told me that it hurts the tree for stems to be exposed to direct sunlight when they're young and don't have thick bark yet. 🌳

So..... I know weed isn't an orange tree, but is it possible that it stresses a cannabis plant in some way when you expose its stems if they're still tender? Should you be careful to do defoliation a little at a time on new growth? 🌱

No..expose as much of the plant as you can...

When a spot offers you two leaves... Happily take one..
Take the one covering a bud site...leave leaves on the outside of the canopy...
