Does growth slow on transition to flowering?

I switched to 12/12 a week and a half ago. The growth has slowed dramatically and I think I see the first few preflower hairs. Is it typical for growth to pause in transition? I’m assuming it is and they’ll start back up again. I read something about this on GWE but I can’t find it right now.

I don’t see anything in this article though that mentions the pause in growth.

There shouldn't be a pause; there should be a vigorous stretch. Check your roots.

The plant will be entering the reproductive frenzy, and you know what happens when that occurs in all organisms! it gonna get bigger!

Check that your lights have actually flipped too. I've had timer failures and the lights stayed on.

I may have had some light intrusion during the dark period after the switch which has been fixed. My light sounds like a freight train so I know it’s on (also have checked several times).

cannatom Light intrusion will definitely do it to the flower hormone. Hope they stabilize and start to flower!!!
