Does anyone have experience with MarsHydro Warranty work?

I have 4 MarsHydro's and happy with their results-
My workhorse LED is the MarsHydro96 which is 18 months old and part of 1/2 panel has lost most LED's.

My question is the warranty process worth it?
Is this something I can fix and avoid sending the unit back?

I have sent an email to them, so not really sure of the shipping costs etc.

To be clear - I've never had a problem with MaysHydro and do not anticipate any now- just doing a cost/benefit on just fixing/tossing it out- changing as there are some newer companies LED's that look interesting.

Haven't had to use the warranty on my old 300's but I suspect that they would do the same thing that King did with that panel. After I contacted them about the issues I was having(led sections not working), they gave the option of sending the fixture back for service or they would walk me through opening the fixture and troubleshooting the issue. If you have simple hand tools and a multimeter to measure voltage, it's really simple to diagnose the issue. I would wait for Mars to reply and see if they will allow you to open the unit. It's a lot easier to have a driver or board shipped then a complete fixture.

MarsHydro got back to me very quickly and you are correct on the options:

1) ship it back and they will take care of it.
2) they will help diagnose and send parts for me to repair.

Since the light is currently in a grow, I'll wait for that to finish and if it's just a driver swap - I'll do it.

Thanks !

Well- after many, many emails and waiting overnight for every response-presumptively while they contact their counterparts in China-
There was an expected bit of language barrier- as well.

The results are ALL LED's for one drivers, section and diodes need to be replaced.
They offered to send them for FREE but the shipping and handling was $25. (I could get a cob chip for that)

At what point, would they consider sending a new LED module?

Anyways it isn't worth the effort to replace and then have others do the same.

This was my favorite light and even with 1/2 the growth out- I got great yields.

I will re assemble the unit and delegate it for veg light in a smaller tent- MarsHydro reflector67? (320w) true @ 138w-lol

My other option was to hack the light and get another module or add cob(s).

I opened it under warranty at their request- going to clean it up and put it back together now.
I think I will list the components specs-in case I want to use them later- thanks!
