Does anybody use the watering bulbs

I don't use them, they look like more expense, more spills and more work to me, not to mention shoving it into your root system and dumping all the water down a straw deep into the bottom, leaving most of the pot dry. I don't think there is anything good about them at all.

I actually bought a pair of them, thinking I would use them when I was going on vacation for two weeks. But then I got a friend to come and water for me, and ended up not using them.

They have been sitting on my bookshelf for two years now. But now I'm curious. I think I will try one of them out on one of my soil grows.

I didn't care for em in the houseplants. It only waters a tiny spot & very slowly at that while the rest of the pot dries out.

Pot likes to get soaked then dry out those are supposed to give water slowly over days ,great idea wrong plant lol

This will work. But a saturated medium will cause problems over time. Good for vacationing. Empty wine bottles will do the same thing.

Yes those are worthless in my opinion. Marginal even for a house plant.

I might (one day) use a wine bottle(s), if ever need to leave for a while. Thanks for the awesome suggestion!
