Is a proper cure the same as decarboxylation ?

I have done a couple batches of coconut oil with ground up weed (properly cured) in a crockpot for 6-8 hours and it comes out pretty damn strong for me. I teaspoon will make feel very buzzed for several hours, so I am doing something right.

I don't do any decarboxylation, but if I did, would it be even stronger weed oil???

They are two different things-
I assume your crockpot is getting hot enough to decarboxylate a bit.

Yes- decarboxylating would increase the potency.
My preferred method of decarb is -to place the buds in a Reynolds- oven roasting bag during the process. and allowing it to cool completely before using it.

The curing process is about breaking apart the chlorophyll molecules inside the plant. The decarb process converts THCA (the non-active form of THC) into THC.

now the two processes are related because decarb uses heat to accelerate cannabinoid degradation. And this process happens by its own with time only very slow. The molecular degradation goes like this THCA->THC->CBN
thats why you end up with the same if you let the weed get really old and if you over decarb
