Do some plants refuse to drink?

I have 4 plants in the tent. The smallest, a Blue Cheese doesn’t drink like her sister and the two Northern Lights that are all doing wonderfully. All got the same exact treatment, lighting nutes etc. I have stupidly kept the same watering schedule for all even though I could tell she was heavier than the others. Just ending 3rd week of veg and going to let her dry out completely, though the others get a drink tomorrow. Question, is there something I could have done wrong when transplanting or is it just this particular plants genetics? I always water throughly with 10-20% run off. Also finding 2 x 4 x 5 is too small for 4 plants. First time grow live and learn.
 
Pics would've been nice though. But I believe you answered your own question when you acknowledged that you kept watering her even though you said she felt heavier than the others. When it comes to roots, the main shaft absorbs water, while the delicate fine hairs absorb the nutrients. When one consistently over-waters, they both rot and die and that's when issues begin. Usually the first deficiency to show is a Magnesium deficiency. I don't believe this is a genetics issue. You just over-watered her. You only have 4 plants, so no need for strict watering schedules. I suggest checking and watering/feeding each plant according to how much each one needs it.

As far as your tent size goes, you're right, a 2x4x5 tent is a bit too small for 4 plants. You can grow 2 plants in there if you give them some serious LST and top them well. Otherwise there ain't going to be much vertical and/or breathing room to grow in, especially when considering the height of the bucket, the height of your grow light/s, how tall you want your plants, and how much yield you want. But like you said, and like many of us here, we "live and learn". Hope this helps and good luck with your growth. :cool:

SheikYerbouti "A picture is worth a thousand words" lol. Anyway, she looks good my friend! Not even close to what I was expecting. Luckily you caught the slight over-watering early and while she's healthy-looking. If you take a closer look at some of the leaves, you can see small signs of speed bumps. Nothing to really worry about as long as you take care of it soon and water them all only when they need it. Any way you can provide a pic in natural light? Not necessary, of course; I can tell they're pretty healthy. Just makes it easier to check for deficiencies (if any). :cool:
 
Mr. F, I’ve been good about ph’ing nutes and water, checking TDS, always under 700 ppm. Watering today and will see what kind of run off I’m getting Thanks 🙏
 
Canna, ive been pretty vigilant in the grow. What had started out as a way to secure quality smoke is turning into an obsessive hobby. Really appreciate all the info!
 
Same here my friend. Growing Cannabliss isn't just an amazing medicinal plant, but a serious hobby for me as well. I take every step seriously.... some who know me on the personal level may say a bit too seriously haha. Still though, I'm no professional by any means. I just like passing on what I do know to others. I'm anxious to see the progress of your babies though. Keep us updated.
