Straight to the point, I want to do some LST and don't have access to plant ties right now. Any household items that could work in a pinch? Just want to pull a few nodes out
 
Lol..my wife says im a hoarder...sitting in my basement i'll give you a list of stuff i can see that i could use haha. String,butchers string,Decoy line, Painters tape,Duct tape electrical tape(roll it up and make a rope),Pipe cleaners(nice) Speaker wire, foam insulation tape, Rubber bands. fishing line as a last resort.. Start digging around in drawers and shit..never know what you'll find. We have an antique sewing machine from grandma...there had to be 60 pipe cleaners in one drawer.lol.. i dont think she smoked a pipe??
 
Aside from all of the MacGyver methods, the best/easiest solution I've found is velcro garden tape.
Snip off a short piece and strap that puppy down.
 
Dieselgrower I don't think I'm gonna go down that road, seems to vigorous to be held down with the only point of contact on a fan leaf .🍃 But the idea sounds plausible for an earlier stage in development 😌
