Dixie cup seedling in final container

Hey all, Does anyone know the trick to placing a dixie cup with seedling in the final container and removing it when ready? I know a few growers on here used to post pictures of the technique but I couldn't find it with a search. I think the dixie cup bottom is removed and the cup is cut in half so it can be pulled out once the seedling is getting big enough. II just don't know how it's done and would be grateful for any tips. hope I explained this right, lol!

It's easier to transplant when soil is still moist. Give the sides a little squeeze to loosen it up put your hand over the top of the cup tip upside down. If it doesn't slide out give the bottom of the cup a little tap and wala put it in final home. But you can definitely cut it be careful not to cut roots though.

Thanks for the comment chef, maybe I didn't explain well enough. I'm comfortable transplanting but the technique I'm talking about requires no transplant. The dixie cup is placed inside the final 5 gallon container and once the seedling is big and strong, you just pull the two halves of the cup out of the medium in the 5 gallon. There were a few growers on here that did it but I never learned how.

Morning Sheesh, I remember that ,I'm not sure but I think it might have been WeedPharma that did that.
They even sell those ,I think they are called Transferpots or something like that, I'm growing a plant right now in one of those homemade transfer cups with all the cuts and holes in it. I set it in my 3gallon pot of soil, and it's actually the best growing plant I've got growing out of 6 different autoflowers. It never even thought about slowing down.

Thanks Daas. I just found a youtube on it and it looks like you use two cups. One has the bottom cut off and cut one side completely. Place that cut cup in a regular cup and grow the seedling in it like usual. When she's ready to go into final container, pull the cut cup out of the regular cup and stick it in the 5 gallon container. Then just pull the cut cup out and she is all set in final container with no transplant shock. TBH, we don't usually have much transplant shock but I'm just trying to get through veg as fast as possible next grow. I only have about 4.5 months for a full photo-period grow from seed to jars and we want to minimize any issues.
