Disaster power out!

My area has a good reputation for providing power to our homes here. Today, my power went out ALL OF IT! All my pumps and lights EVERYTHING!. I went into action as I understand it without air bubbles your plants soon die. I have a small 100 watt inverter and pluged it into my car. I left ONLY the air pump running as I did not have enough to power everything. My small inverter kept my air pump running until power was restored over a hour without power. I hope the inverter saved the day. Air pump was off for about 40 min. before I restored power to the pump. Will my plant suffer? This small $10.00 inverter ran the air pump no problem!!!. I recommend one for every home grower.

Plants should be fine , and aquarium stores have battery powered pumps also. I live by trees that come down on power lines so I have a generator longest I was without power 1 whole week!
 
PUMP USED 7.5 WATTS TO RUN. I figure you could run a inverter like mine pumping air for 18 hours no problem. (and I used a 50 foot extension and still the pump ran full speed.)
 
Yeah, dontknownuttin, YOU DO know lots. Good job and fast thinking. I was going to mention getting a generator, but I see Karlee beat me to that.
 
Karlee is the DWC expert. Hopefully she'll come along and answer.

Since I know nothing about DWC growing, can you pull them out of the water and expose them to the air for a time. How about a hose and manually blowing air into the water, like your blowing up a thousand balloons? What about something that you can attach to one of those hand air pumps that you push up and down.

So far since 6 hours (post power outage) The plant looks ok. no drooping and such. I hope they got through the power outage ok. I figure also since these are Autos with no specific light timing required this power interruption plants should continue where they left off.
 
If it's light time use a bright flashlight on the plant if you're flowering , the air is the most important then use bright flash light if you have! Nebula wrote about this last month! she doesn't get our winters even LOL
