Disaster avoided

I woke up to start my day with Azlyn making supper (I work nights) and she has a bewildered look on her face and the cabinets under the sink are open. The drain pipe had come completely off and the sink full of dish water had flooded the cabinet area. No big deal. I cleaned the mess and attached the pipe, although whoever installed it didn't do it right so I'll be making a trip to Lowes on my day off..

I thought everything was right in world again so we ventured downstairs to check Cici and Aurora. Apparently we weren't done with this tragedy. The flood had some way found its way to the grow room directly under the sink in the basement. Water made its way all the way through the grow room and into the middle of the basement where it pooled.

After cleaning the floor I thought we were safe. Nope not yet. The water made its way down the basement wall onto one of my shelves, off the shelf, and jumped it's way about half a foot onto the top of my tent! We nearly panicked at the puddle that weighed on the top. Luckily this tent was well made. No water at all made its way into the tent - top, bottom, or side.

Geez. Near miss on this one guys.

Oh pankace, so very glad disaster avoided, but what a mess to clean up. Home maintenance can be a royal pain in the arse. Seems like there is always something.

It's good I used common sense and raised the ballast and cords off the floor cuz we could have had an electrical hazard.

I know right! Let's hope the next few weeks go by with no big hiccups. We are so close for Aurora I don't know what we'd do if we didn't get to that first harvest!

My washing machine died and water was raining down to my basement, and all I can say is it didn't get my important stuff just a wet floor. Glad it's all good for you also.Smile and the world will smile with you :silly:

I also forgot to mention I had to take my HPS out of the box. I don't think it got got wet but the hps and mh boxes got a little soggy. As for the x mas wrapping paper, total loss.
