Did you know,if your weed ashes white,it means you have flushed out all the impurities,if it is grey,then their are still traces of fertilizer and or pesticides.
 
From my experience, this is a fallacy. I've broken buds off my own grow, deep into flower, running full nutes. I dry them and use them as a benchmark for what's to come. The ash always turns a bright white when I burn it in a bowl or a joint, same as post flush, dry, cure.

Maybe your experiences have differed from mine.
 
I've heard of it before, but I'm not sure if it is true. Because I've grown weed without using any nutes at all and still had gray ashes. Just saying.
 
Nope- first time I heard this was yesterday at a local cannabis con, from an organic grower- who had other less than accurate information!
 
Just goes to show that you can't necessarily believe everything you read or hear. True science can help with sorting out the info and misinfo, though in the cannabis world it seems like we're just getting started on scientific validation! 🌻
 
I agree- but I find if you look in different countries for information where cannabis has been legal- it helps put everything into perspective!
Also- seeking information from botanist's will give a more scientific approach whenever you get conflicting ideas- because after all it is a plant.
 
I do agree that buds that burn white are higher quality, but I think it has a lot to do with how the buds were dried and cured, not necessarily anything to do with nutrients. It wouldn't surprise me if pesticides caused it to burn differently, too!
 
black ashes are a sign of residues when not flushed, but they're more importantly a sign of moisture in the bud, take a perfectly cured but and it will burn more consistently and produce whiter ashes than moist and not ready no smoke weed, the amounts of "fertilizer" remaining in the bud are minuscule compared to the water, flushing attempts to empty the plants "reserve" of molecules inside the plant, such as chlorophyll nitrogen potassium and phosphorus
