Did I screw the pooch?

This are days 23 & 24 for my autos (Royal Cheese, Northern Lights and AK). I noticed a couple of bud sites were hidden from the light, so I performed a defoliectomy

These being autos, did I make a mistake?

I have topped, and quadlined autos along with fairly heavy defol at times and my plants have not let me down so yours look real healthy and should hardly miss a step.
