Did I defoliate the right amount?

I just defoliated my Sour Diesel three weeks after the flip to 12/12. Did I take the right amount off? Did I take too much? Any other opinions or advice?

Here’s a before and after.

This is a Sour Diesel from Crop King, grown in FFOF soil, using Fox Farm nutes.

yeah Rik you took a lot of leaves that would have been used by the plant for energy for bud growth so they may not fatten as much as possible. Good looking colas tho!

Damn that’s really disappointing, I was trying to go off of the main site’s tutorial advice to remove almost all of the fan leaves.

Will it grow any additional fan leaves in the next few weeks?

especially this photo from that page. It doesn’t look that different from mine in terms of the amount of foliage left on.

I bet they grow out with huge colas. Just pamper them with care and lots of light.
