If you are in a confrontation with law officers please do not get your gun Annie. Leave it under the bed or in your night stand. Do not even reach for your cell phone. Of course there should be no law against the cultivation of ANY plant. That is called FREEDOM! Legislating against nature, is what man does, and others are paid to enforce those ridiculous laws. They will do it, and with over reaction.

I'm all for 2A rights. But when you threaten people and then point your gun at police, you are going to be shot.
"Illegal" means more than 12 plants in Durham, Ca. But people only get busted if someone complains. Or you are a screwball that goes around threatening people. I'm sorry but play stupid games, and win stupid prizes.
 
When you live outside the cage, you forfeit the protections of the keepers, it's an accepted risk. From there you dance your dance and pray the piper shows some mercy.

Cops have one mission at all times in situations, control the scene. It's for their safety, the public's safety and quite honestly yours too. If you choose to escalate that situation, you will be met with force. I'm not saying they're always in the right or that there aren't bad cops, because they aren't and there are, but in my dealings over the years it has worked out better for me, at least in the long run, when I've cooperated and gotten somewhere to make a call.

After reading the article (and assuming it's an accurate account):

If you are in a confrontation with the popo about illegal growing: 1. Don't threaten to shoot anyone, and 2. Don't walk out the house with a loaded shotgun aimed directly at them.
