PaganRich I would expect nothing less from a warrior of your ilk, sir. No one inspires more fear, dread and loss of bladder control on this forum. I am fortunate because an ocean separates us, so I never worry about waking up with my thatch hut on fire.

I'm still not particulary worried. I have a security system installed in my thatch hut, and two fierce chihuahuas, houndlets from hell...

Your dogs would end up as furry dice on my raider, your security system sparking from being cleeved in two by my throwing axe and your `girls` ripped from the bosum of their tent and wantonly smoked, lit from the embers of your smouldering thatch....before I stride off into the settling sun which is impossible over here as it`s soooooo soddin` wet at the moment

For shame, Pagan!!! You have gone from being the nordic Cream Puff, guardian of orchids, old ladies and cats, to Dog Dicer, Chihuahua Chewer, Pot Pilferer, Scourge of Home Security Systems, Axe Thrower of Doom and Destruction. It's very sad.

I know but hey...I`m just a man....the storm tossed ocean is my mouthwash, the slap of frigid sea water the only loo roll I need, the salt from my beard the only addition to my fish. I was plodding up the road to the offie just now for some bread and I wondered upon a couple of things: Can you get PG Tips where you are....that`s tea....and do folks your way drink much of it....and not the artful stuff but proper tea, sorta think you could sink a battleship with....great stuff tea, love it

Yes, we have that tea, and I am a tea drinker!!! I will have to try some. I love my strong black tea, but most of the vulgar herd in this country drink coffee.
But I, I am just a woman, an outkast, called a witch by some and a healer by others: the insistent whisper of the wind blowing through the forest that surrounds me as I concoct my compounds and tinctures; the birds outside my window in search of more seeds, the spiders busily spinning their massive golden orbs in strategic places to protect me from any bad thoughts lurking; leaves turning yellow and dropping like slow tears; the o'ercast sky bodes rain and negative ions so one can rest peacefully in spite of the marauding plunderers who wander the world ever seeking MORE. More bread and tea...

That was in a future life... In my real life, I live in the woods, far away from civilization so they don't burn me at the stake or some such idiocy.

Isn`t it hurricane season out there and a tad wet/ windy for going round torching folk plus oh wretched and smelly witchy one, if you shun the dangers of Man, where do you get your PG Tips from?

Smelly!!! Smelly???? The only thing I smell of is terpenes and some sandalwood and patchouli. Wretched!! I am not wretched: I'm in tune with nature, so let the hurricanes come, the rains shake my window panes, the winds howl, and I will be safe in my hut. I just don't want the electricity going out during a grow like it did last year.

I get my organic black tea from a large raven who flies over from amazon. I make my bread (yes: I grind my flour), I grow my veggies, I need civilization not.

I concede, as usual, defeat before your superior logic ole wise and flour covered crone. Do you make scones by any chance, rather partial to those I must admit...as well as Yorkshire puddings...do you have those?

We elders must keep you young upstarts in your place lest you burn down the planet.... Oh wait a second, it's the old farts who are doing that...
There's no contest between us: you'd no doubt chop off me head and stick it on a post. And truth be told, I USED to grind my own flour for my bread, but that was some years back... But I dream of a little cottage in the forest...

Daft idea that cottage...miles from no-where and my mate lives in woods and bricks it everytime there`s a storm what with branches, etc falling onto the roof and the potential for the tree to follow if it`s a bad one. Nope, what you need is a castle with a moat. You always get ye ole peasants building taverns and B&B`s near them as well as a Tesco`s Express and you can raise the drawbridge if the Law turns up. I would like to recommend the following for your purusal...I have been to both and both are my fav`s. There was a fortified manor house I went to once but sadly can`t remember where...I have trapsed over megalithic, neolithic, hill forts and pretty much 40% of all fortified dwellings in this country I reckon in my years but these two really stand out for me: https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&r...esay-castle/&usg=AOvVaw2eJJuzAiUUwYboMfpTclf5 and https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&r...astle.co.uk/&usg=AOvVaw2qQrtNAH8Scp8t-4IgPfwp

As an aside I have a question...a lot of films regarding zombies are filmed in the USA. Now, on the news here it says there are 300 million gun owners in the US which means there`s a lot of legal and illegal guns floating around. Now most people know that to kill a zombie you need to destroy the brain...if every living person except the elderly (Note: In the case of an outbreak, hide their false teeth...saves on having to kill grandma) and kids who probably wouldn`t notice til the internet and mobiles went down, each shot 6 zombies there wouldn`t be a zombie apocalpse...well, not the slow shuffling kind. With the fast kind we`d be royally screwed but the slow ones, fairly easy even with a ball hammer and face mask for those across the mighty pond...and we have our castles and hardware stores....always wondered why people hadn`t figured this one out
