Defoliation in Bloom

I'm in week 2 of Bloom, the stretch and expansion is extreme. I don't want to defoliate right now as the stretch slows, but which week should I give her a trim to expose bud sites? I did one before Bloom, and this is a 9-10 week strain. Pistols are emerging. She needs a haircut.

What week do you guys defoliate, or what are your thoughts/experience with it?
 
One of the major misconceptions in this hobby is that you have to do everything at one time or on a schedule. This is incorrect. Do what the plants tell you to do. When foliage is too thick and light cannot get through the plant remove the intruding leaves. You do not need to do the whole plant at once. Defoliation is more of an ongoing process for me rather a one shot deal. The same with harvest. You can harvest the top buds while allowing those lower down to mature longer.
 
OldManGrower I like that information. I followed that misconception for years now. Defoliation all at once would be a hard hit to the plants I imagine anyhow. I'm gonna take this advice and information.
 
I do what OMG says but I also defol a bit in stretch to try and keep the stretch even if some take off on me. Plucking a few leaves should slow the stretch a bit on that branch/cola that's getting away from the others.

That's the way it is for me as well. I'm not the best at defoliating, but reading how others grow, seeing advice like this, and trying to apply that to my own grows I have learned to pay more attention to what the plant is telling me. It works.
