Defoliation and CO2

I'm on day 24 in flower, did some defoliation during the vegetative period and a quite heavy defoliation on day 22 in flower. I'll do some light defoliation if necessary up until around day 45 and then I'll defoliate heavy again. I have CO2 tank, but it only lasts ~2 days and I can only afford to refill it once, so I'll add extra CO2 for 4-5 days
When is the best time to do this?
Everything else is dialed in and looking good.

Thanks in advance.

It's a 170oz tank with a regulator and a controller with a built-in photocell that automatically activates the unit only during the day, will make it rain over the plants and run it at 1000-1200ppm. Plenty of air circulation. The tent is 10'x10'x6,6 and it's as sealed up as a tent can get.

Try letting it run only for 15 minutes than off for half hour...saves co2 and still works...that's how I have mine...it's a 20 lb.tank with gauge and timer...lasts two weeks

Sorry my bad it's not a timer it's a controller with a built-in photocell that automatically activates the unit only during the day. Could plug the controller into a regular timer though. But whats the difference really? As it works now it shuts off at my desired ppm level and starts to pump out more when the CO2 in the tent drops to whatever ppm level I set for minimum.
But say I only have these 5 days with extra CO2, any thoughts on when the best time for this is with defoliation?

Defoliate whenever...cut away man...
You are going through Co2 so fast that's why I suggested what I did...yes off during night...
