Decarboxylator machine

This is the first I've heard of this machine, but I can see how it could be extremely helpful for making edibles. I would love to hear everyone's experiences with it! There's also the Magic Butter Machine, which makes infused butter from herb, but you have to decarb the buds first for the best results. This also seems like this could be useful if you want to make non-oil based edibles (like tinctures). In fact, it seems like it would support almost any type of edible, or you could even just eat the buds directly from the machine.
 
Really? I thought I read about this on one of your posts months ago on the forum, I must be mistaken. I'm still more keen on my Sous Vide; I am going to decarb with it and then use it as my flame-less water bath to evaporate my Everclear after extraction.
 
On their website it says they will ship for arrival on Oct 30, so I expect it on Monday. If you go to their website, you can read about the sublingual method of consumption which puts it directly into the bloodstream and bypasses the digestion process with edibles. I also want to make "cool" tinctures that don't require any heating. Once the herb is decarbed, the methods are all pretty similar: it involves letting the alcohol and cannabis sit for a period of time, with occasional shakes. If the herb is decarbed first, then there's no need for any more heat!!
 
ATU,. I will be waiting to you post real world results before ordering. I a just starting my grow, I have a few months before I will need one. Sounds awesome so far.

hey guys Camk and king fish if you both have asthma get yourself some Mullein its a herb you can get or pick it will really help with your asthma, our granddaughter was on a nebulizer everyday. we gave her some Mullein tea and she went from daily use of nebulizer to once a week if at all
 
Yes. It gets hot enough to do a some decarboxylation, so you can choose not to decarb, but your resulting butter will be much stronger if you cook the buds in the oven at a low heat first. The machine comes with instructions with the recommended time and temperature to do that with.

I received an email from Ardent this morning, and the delivery date has been pushed forward. It doesn't matter to me because I won't be harvesting for another 3-4 weeks. The good news included in the email was that high CBD strains that also have more than a minimum of THC in them will not need two runs through the machine, but will decarb in one run:

"It is in fact possible to decarb CBD with the same parameters as THC. The determining factor in CBDa decarb is actually whether THCa is also present. Where THCa is present, even where CBDa is dominant, CBDa and THCa will decarb simultaneously and at the precision temps that work for conversion to THC. It is only where THCa is minimal or not present that CBDa may require longer (2 cycle) processing."

This is very good news for me.
 
No, I don't think you can do the same things--not if you have to use an oil.

I don't want to make butter; I want to make medicine in other ways like capsules and tinctures, without any more heat.
 
Looks like it just got pushed back again to Nov 20th. :(

From their CS Dept. I was asking if the 10th was the ship or receive date. The date has also changed on the website.

"We are currently in pre-order for units arriving November 20th, at which point we get your unit on its way to you. Domestic addresses generally arrive within a few days, and we of course send you tracking information the moment we have it."
 
2 different machines that do different things.

The MBM is an infuser, you have to decarb first, outside the MBM, then use a fat to be infused.

The Nova is a decarber.

Now they would work well together but they aren't comparable to each other.
 
Aloner you put the decarbed bud under your tongue and that is one of the most efficient ways of getting the good stuff into your blood stream. My goal is NOT TO USE ANY MORE HEAT after decarbing in the Nova. So no loss of terpenes or cannabinoids.

I will make some tincture as well, which can store in fridge for a very, very long time. Cool tincture, decarbed bud, no more heat.
