If the flowers suck nutrients from the leaves, why cut them all off?

Yep, that's how nature does it. In the fall the rain stops or slows a lot. Fruits and vegetables ripen in the hot dry sunny days and then Harvest is upon us. Figure all we're doing in the closet is trying to mimic nature.
