cut or not

I have 2 month old white widow extreme growing in pots outside. right now getting 15+ hours of sunlight about 3 feet tall and have been fimmed since small. I don't want them growing over my 4 foot fence. can I cut the tops?

I do belive that will hurt your yeild depending when the 12 hr cycle comes..

Try super cropping, then tie them down. It will make your plant bushier, but you wont lose out on the colas as much. (Dont forget to use tape on any that happen to snap open)

If you do decide to top, though not ideal, try to get the curtings to root so you can still get those colas you cut off! (Usually you want to root bottom branches due to hormone levels)

I topped all three last week and I don't think anything bad will happen judging by the reaction..I think 12/12 is at least 4-6 weeks away.

Buzzer777, If you are gonna wait 4-6weeks to flip the swich, you can top all those side branches, too, those are nice plants.
Just imagine with the stretch they will be twice or three times as large , gonna be huge plants.

Yeah when they switch into flower mode they will more then likely double in size. Looking at the strain specs and it's saying they get to be 71 inches outdoors. Much larger then your fence... I like the suppercropping idea myself. Maybe put a trellis over it afterwards to limit the height, you just tuck branches in the trellis holes. Keep tucking cause it will keep stretching. That's what I'd do anyway... Topping will give you more colas but they'll be smaller. The more you top the smaller the colas get...just my 2¢.

Sorry..I haven't found the "switch" for the SUN yet..LMAO..

Seriously..I only topped them since they will stretch BIGLY once they are in flower..
The MYSTERY plants have a clone in my indoor flower tent now..WTF..only 7 days in and she grew 4+ inches overnight!!! Took some re-arranging this morning..
The Mystery plant on the left is only in a 3 gallon cloth pot (yes, they are girls)..the same mystery strain (Bonza), is in a 5 gallon cloth pot ..I see no difference YET, other than I have to water the 3 gallon plant more daily (3-4 times per plant..High Sierra Desert is a bear.

I think I am in deep DooDoo with the 3 outdoors..I will have to move them soon to the grass area below the deck. (Nevada is a bit weird this way..Plants need to be "out of plain sight"); which I THINK means not in view from the street..

Thanks!!
That white thing is sort of a tarp used to keep the HOT desert sun blocked a little bit (a little). The tarp idea is great until they are over 6 ft tall..then..IDK..

There are some pretty big tarps ;) just build a tall "wall" . But ya 6 ft is pretty tall. Jelous of the yeild you will get off them! ;)

Buzzer777, I thought you were growing indoors, my bad, but you can't beat the Sun, best light ever.
You got you some beautiful beastly looking plants ,that's gonna get much bigger.
I'd still top all those side branches, if you haven't already,
And do whatever it takes ,to get those beautiful ladies to harvest. You are in for a Bigly stash, my friend, excellent job ole bud.
