Can I smoke a nug that’s been mostly dried out before I put them In Jars???

You can test it to see how it kicks and if it kicks. But taste wont be nice

It's fine to sample a wee spot prior to aging. Wine and whiskey makers do so themselves. That said, two to four weeks aging in glass makes an unbelievable difference in the overall quality just as the difference between two year old whiskey and twenty one year old whiskey.
