Crackers curiosity question

Todays Cracker curiosity is, is there a certain number of nodes that you count up to for topping, is there a minimum number of nodes or a maximum number of nodes? I topped my girls at the 6th node, I have them in two gallon pots and have not seen any new growths, except very small branches at thier bottoms, (I topped them about 2 weeks ago, so im curious, any opinions? 20161117_092658.jpg 20161117_092637.jpg
 
Cracker, at this point you plant has stretched quite a bit. Is a little to late to do any more topping. The only thing I would suggest is to bend her about 90 degrees to maybe add some more bud sites. Put your lights as close as you can. But I'm afraid that is not going to gain you too much more. I know that's not what you wanted to hear. The next time start LST when they are still babies.
I hope the cow don't take a bite of your girl. LOL
 
Thanks Kingfish, thats what thought. I will definitely follow your advice next time, i will take this as lesson learned, but hey, The more you know, The more you can Grow!!! Thank you Kingfish!!
 
Curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought him back! LOL

I waited till 6 nodes showing and topped to 3rd and today started training .You can still still the cotyledon leaves on her.

I needed her to slow down or I wouldn't have given her the chicken bone look, But it will help when I top the next 6. Going for 8 mains with her.

8 Mains? I'm wondering what would that yield approximately , karlee? I'm still wondering how many is enough! Lol
 
My last grow was 18 oz. on 2 plants but I didn't defoliate enough to get the bottom buds enough light , I hope to break this record LOL With the help of this wonderful forum I think I'm heading in the right direction.

Here is my last grow right before I put her to 12/12

Question. If I top main stem from 6 nodes to 3, and then top those two main stems from 6 nodes to 3, That give me 4 main stems. As long as I use lst, I will end up with more than 4 colas correct? How do you restrain your plant to just 8? I realize you need to do a third topping, but do just keep removing any new buds sites you see developing?
