Concerned noob looking for feedback

2 gallons once soil settles.

That's too small.

So youll likely need to feed regularly with pHed water...perhaps twice daily

5gal pots is typical if growing autos....go more than double that for photoperiods.

Soil works properly when there is lots of it. When there is very little as in your case it can stop acting like soil should very quickly

Small pot soil grows equal small flowers and often spindly growth.

You can get away with small pots if doing hydro with high frequency fertigation but not in soil. Soil water logs and you'll drown them.

IMHO yes, way too late..but I don't transplant nowdays...used to growing outdoors but not indoors

Final update: Well, I reckon I'm nearly there. Milky trichomes, with a handful of amber, pistils mostly brown and curled in, and boy does she stink 😯 thinking about chopping her over the coming weekend. 🤞🏼

The bud in that last pic, gently open it up in a few spots and check for mold around the main stalk. If you see a spider webby looking blueish or whitish stuff, it's mold. If not you will be fine.

I'm just paranoid at seeing any colours on flower bits that look suss...like grey/black pistols

Hmm. Just checked again. You're right. Still a bit to go. What are your temps and RH?

It's important to monitor the ambient temps and RH in most growing environments as typically a lot of us live and grow in areas where high humidity is a problem and these plants flowers love to support the growth of mold.

There's certainly more to it than just planting a seed and keeping it watered. Quite the hassle 👍🏼

but remember, when it comes down to it, its still a weed that grows by itself. the diff. is growing crap or primo bud. the good stuff takes knowledge and work. anyone can grow seedy dirt weed, but nobody wants to smoke it

I didn't even plant this one (see pic) it was my first plant up, last year I grew tomatoes in this pot. Where did the seed come from? IDK, I let 1 other grow and it was an auto and is already in jars.

The mystery seed phenomenon hey.

I have had that many times now with these wonderful plants.

Consider yourself lucky!

Autos need the stress more than photoperiods but timing is everything with autos. I top them at 4 weeks and that seems to push out the flowering for a another week or 2 and I keep feeding veg nutes with a Open Sesame at 1/3 strength. On the other hand I dont care for autos so I enjoy stressing them a little
