Companion planting

Good morning GWE forum, iv been looking into companion planting for my INDOOR garden. From what I've read online the suggested companions provide pest control and some nutrient supplys but a lot of what evidence is based on outdoor/organic growing.
So I'm wondering if any of the experienced growing on this forum have tried indoors ? And what results have been found ?
I'm at the garden centre later today and was going to pick up some bean and basil seeds maybe something for essential oil production. Any recommendations or should I save myself the time and effort and not bother at all ?
Thanks in advance as always, always thinking, UK-Jakey

hey UK good morning to you . so I do companion planting outside but I dont do any inside I find that if you control your rooms ambeant conditions then they are not needed . of coarse I only use companion plants for pest control. if there is something to help with terpines and oil production go for it .Most inside grow room don't have alot of extra space

I agree with OJH , I plant outdoors alot and several times have planted it next to field corn and both the corn and pot seems like they compete against each other to see which one grows the tallest the quickest. I have grown some monster pot plants beside corn. I also know I ain't the only one to have done that either, it's done pretty often down South usa.
