COCO COIR Coco+vermiculite?

Hey so I recently bought myself some vermiculite as the local hydroponics shop recommended it while growing in Coco, they said perlite or vermiculite would be ideal however vermiculite would take the edge, do you have any opinions on this and if so what ratio should I use between Coco and vermiculite? Any help is much appreciated

I was told when I started that vermiculite wouldn’t be a great choice since it holds water, I don’t know if there’s any difference in coco and soil in that respect I’m in soil, and that perlite would be a better choice. Hopefully someone that knows a hell of a lot more than me will chime in.

Oh. I could have sworn I saw you say you used it a long time ago. I knew that you use tomato soil for sure. Oh well, now I know for sure 😂

Perlite also holds water (which is why it’s a great bed for growing mushrooms) but not as much as vermiculite. The key point is that, like everyone is saying, perlite is way way better for aeration.
