CMH lighting

So I'm probably going to upgrade to a CMH light in one of my tents. I'm kind of wondering what bulb people are using (3000k or 4000k) and which one works best. I think most are using traditional MH/HPS or LEDs but I'd like to hear from those of you that have tried them.

I'm running a 4000k bulb in my 315 w Manolux not in a grow tent though don't have to worry about heat.
First grow- 315w cmh manolux, Fox Farms Happy Frog soil, Iguana Juice
