Cloning question

Hey all fellow green thumbs first let me start saying thank you for taking the time to read and or respond. I was wondering if you could take a plant that just started forming her pistols and Bud sites put them in water and have Roots grow out of it I do that with my vegetable plants and they work but I can't seem to be getting any growing out of my close

I use clone hormone powder. Gotta take a healthy one stem about 4-6" scrape very lightly the bottom like your " whittling " got me? Dip in water to make a air seal, dip in root hormone then in water takes 2-3wks for me.
