Clone regrowth

Hi all
A question about cloning , the place where I cut the clone from , does the stem I cut grow back in same spot ? I want to cut some clones from the bottom but they are also going to grow into good colas .

No, they don’t grow back. When I take my clones I take them from lower colas that have 6-7 nodes. Then I’ll make my cut right above node 2 or 3 like I was topping it.

As long as you leave a node with tertiary branches forming from the base of the leaf.
If you take a cut that includes that bottom node then nothing will grow back fro the mother on that branch.
