Clear or cloudy trichomes

I know these are bad pictures but here is my northern lights autoflower day 78 (topped once) are these trichomes clear or cloudy? Pistols are 80% darkened

I always have trouble seeing the difference between clear and cloudy so I just wait for amber to start showing.

PLEASE get yourself a Jewelers Loop about 50x magnification and all your guessing will be over. You can be assured that you will be able to tell the difference between clear and cloudy Trichomes.

I have got a jewellers loupe with 40X and 60X on, the pic is taken on 40. 60 is hard to take pics on but still can’t tell the difference kingfish

I also do not know what lighting to check the trichs with, the loupe has a white light on that makes them look milky but when I take with my grow lights yellow light they look clear

Hard to tell, but the majority look clear. I just finished up my Northern Lights Auto in coco/perlite with 315 LEC....about 30% amber harvested around day 98 (from seed popping).

The first pic shows cloudy with a few translucent (darkened) ones.
I also, wait for amber to appear, which starts the harvest window-
It lasts about 2 weeks, during which you can chop at your preference for the amount of ambers you prefer.

I was unable to decifer anything from the second pic- when I enlarged it.

Pluck a small amount and check on the table or other solid surface
you will know cloudy as a they look like ice crystals where as clear look ..well clear

I think I’m gonna give it another few days before checking properly again as I am going for a decent amount of Amber trichs, deffo want a couch lock effect but still a good strong amount of thc head high
