Chipmunk damage

Good Day:
I have chipmunks stripping the bark off my plants, trimming leaves an making nice little piles of them, on the dirt.
They have stripped about 3-5 in of bark, some have been stripped all around the plant. I'm in the coastal mountains of Oregon.
Will bark moss help? or a bark tape? Please help save my Medicine. Thank You for Your Time...Ada

Hey Adagal. Hate to hear that you don't want to lose them I know. I live down South an when we don't want some animals around ,we put like dog urine, human urine around when we don't want deer around. We ain't got many chipmunk where I live so never had any problems .I know they not in pots are they? Someone will be own here soon to help with you damage I'm sure . Good Luck.

Tree wound sealer or tree wound tape. If they are girdled there is nothing you can do. Keep traps out til nothing caught for a week.

Yes, they are in pots, since this is new, I now have the traps set, urine don't work on chipmunks (boohoo). Hoping my plant will survive this ordeal. I get a lot of Deer an a few Elk, oh an Black Bear too. Bears go for the soil, Elk an Deer eat the greens, Urine and dog hair, hanging hotel soap bars work, Just not on chipmunks!

Thanks, That's what I was thinking, I just have never used it on pot plants before. Used it on my fruit trees after the bears climb up them. Will give it a try.

I Used a tree wrap, Plants are healing nicely, Traps helped, dog helped too. An I moved them from that area, not such an easy access.
enjoy the Growing season everyone.
