Chefbjy Dark Harvest Grow Challenge

Thank you. It's fine for veg and it won't stay hot when they're ready to flower. I can always draw air in from outside when it cools off 😆. I'll redo my window exhaust to compensate.

Kelp and humic acids day foliar feeding this time instead of tea. Will be getting some humiplex by dte and looking into shalijit very soon. But picking up some dte soluble root enhancer https://www.downtoearthfertilizer.com/products/biological-products/soluble-root-growth-enhancer/ for transplanting and other beneficials. Pics of the girls will be up later. But how does my soil look?

Tomorrow is shopping day and the worm farm will be my first stop for castings and tea needed for multiple reasons. Root enhancer and rock phosphate are on my list as well. I 'm waiting till the 1st to get the rest plus a compost brewer. And then I should be brewing my own teas in 2 weeks tops. Anything I should add? 🍻

They didn't have humiplex at the grow shop and didn't even know dte had a root enhancer or endo lol .So I went ahead and got some kelplex and this stuff from roots organics endo/ecto mycorrhizae...pretty much the same thing minusa few beneficial bacteria. Will be added in a solution tomorrow for watering. Adding this to my soil before transplant as well. I have other plants to use this on but wanted to see if it helps with my cloning. 🍻

The leader of the pack5 nodes got topped today at 3rd node. Both strains are doing well, though I have one dgth that looks a little dwarfed compared to the rest. So far she's the same height as the rest just as many nodes, but you can see she isn't as bulky as her sisters. Waiting for recovery and will be transplanting in the next couple days. Will wait to see how they take to transplant then top the other 2 gc and the dgth. Looking at the leaves now I can definitely tell them apart and they didn't make a liar out of me at all 😆. Though I still labeled my new pots already I don't think I could mix them up. They have their own defining characteristics.

Thanks RosettaStoned. I'm thinking of switching to hps already the node spacing is pretty tight. I want some clones off of one of each atleast, think the hps will give me better spacing for starts.

Thanks guys. This has been great, challenging my skills as a grower. I've learned a lot and you guys will catch up soon. We got 21 days and I better get them in their final pots before I lose the momentum.

Transplant day...final homes. They wanted to widen out a bit more in the one gallons. Seems like the roots didn't want to go to the bottom of the pots just circled around. I had to knock off a good inch or two of soil from the bottom. Maybe my soil is too rich for little girls, I'm not sure. The fabric pots will help them stretch out a bit more I hope.

I'm not sure if I want to keep all 6 through flower in the tent. I may have to take one of each or atleast one out to the shop. Thinking my space might get a little too crowded but we'll see. Not vegging these girls very long I guess 😉. That's another reason I may move... I want clones and may just take the smallest 2 and veg them a bit longer. Campesino would that be a problem? Since I have 2 of each required for the challenge...you guys wouldn't miss the 2 plants would you? I just want clones from these $pricey seeds 😆.

Anyway 3 hours after transplant. Foliar feeding will be increasing to daily with a variety of organic solutions. I.e. liquid bone meal, kelp, humic and fulvic acid to name a few. Getting the rest of my parts together for my brewer and will be rocking out some teas shortly. Happy growing!! 🍻 ✌.

Looking good chefbjy I intend on taking clones as well I had 7 dgth seeds only 2 left so I will want to do another run of them

I have 3 dgth left but no room just yet 😉. Thank you ojh.
Right on Campesino...if I was manifolding I wouldn't worry about it, but I'm just concerned it will get too crowded.

Topped 2 more, one gc and one dgth. Gc topped at 4th node and dgth topped at 3rd. Trying to keep a balance with heights 😉. Thinking of just doing a fim to the other dgth. And letting one of each go a bit longer...the dwarf especially.

Don't know why but the dwarf dgth has a bit more vertical growth, where as the rest are working on the lower growth tips and fattening up. This one I'm thinking of removing from the challenge and see if I can clone a few dwarfs. The gc I haven't topped yet may get excluded from the flip date as well and be a mother plant. Trying to clone the tops of the ones that were cut. The pic without the bottle was the first top cut and looks better then most tops I've tried cloning 😆. Even though it looks sad now I think it will take. Used clonex gel even poured 1ml into the hole and dusted with mycorrhizae over the gel...fingers crossed.

Have a bit of yellowing on the gc that was topped before transplant. Foliar with epson salt solution today. My soil is pretty loose in the pots, not much compaction after soaking the soil before potting. Lots of room for roots to go. Added a tsp of mycorrhizae to the yellowing gc as well. Think I'm set to proceed with the plants that have been topped for challenge girls 😉. C'mon growth tips lol.

Thank you. Couple days ago I took off the first node growth tips and fans, it seemed to help them focus on upper growth 😉.

So my wife thought she was doing right by getting me a compost tea. I'm not completely sold on it. I told her this company is owned by the people that invented ddt, and as many of you know roundup and other genetically modified products. She got me some pure blend tea by botanicare. I said I want to make my own and she tought this would be easier. I'm not sold on the video on botanicare.com and I can't find info on it being certified organic. Going to go to omri and search, but I don't think I should use it. I can take it back and get some more mycorrhizae instead. I have to go get the stuff myself to make my brewer but I'm glad she thought about it 😆. I told her when she sees all the brews I can make with it she'll be sold on the investment.

She's always trying to go conventional instead of economical, but I will sway her from that with organic mj 😆. I'm really kicking myself for not doing the Vegamatrix with coco Campesino. And is still like to try coconot... did you get that song stuck in your head? (inside joke). You'll be seeing my brewer in action soon, and I'm looking into emulsifiers now. Aloe with karanja oil and shalijit as a drench and IPM. Thought I'd share my resource http://www.chascience.com/horticultural-blog/2016/12/19/shilajit-an-ayurvedic-powerhouse

Don't know about you guys but this looks like a flower to me. I believe these are autos and not real sure if they are even gorilla cookies at this point. So I guess this is a bit of a mystery strain.

At this point I'm bewildered and have no idea what I'm going to do with them. They must be some kind of lowrider superfast strain. Because my Skywalker .auto I'm doing a light schedule expirement with is a 76 day from seed strain and doesn't have pistils like this one. Here's the others which also look like flowers instead of growth tips. I'm skeptical but I think my seeds were mixed up. Guess I'll find out in another week.

Top dressed all plants with roots organics uprising foundation to take a bit of guess work out of top dressing. There's a pic with ingredients. Foliar with kelplex today as well. Going to put my brewer together now, tea will be coming tomorrow if the soil dries out like it is now. Little warm in the tent today but manageable and not alarming. Seems to be a consistent high temp of 82f max on warmer days.

Trying to avoid the subject of the removal of the idk autos but it's a slap in the face. I may have to run a 3rd light on in my shop inside a tent in a dark corner. If I can do this without contaminating my shop grow with light I'll be able to finish them but it's going to be a very tricky process. So the only strain I have to do the dark period left with is dgth. And it's way too late to get other photos going at this point. I'll be down one plant in my tent but will try to maximize the grow to fill it. What a year it's been for me with seed mix ups and too big of a heart to cull 😆.
