Hi GWE. I'm looking forward to my third grow next year and am shopping for a couch lock strain. Taking a close look at "Romulan" and some "Alien" variants. Looking for input on any strain so staggeringly strong it deserves a warning. Particularly interested in testimonials and not in research.

Yes, CBN increases the riper it gets. CBN is the result of THC degrading which causes a sleepy, narcotic effect. Some people don't like it at all from what I've read. I don't believe the THC/CBN ratio is proportionate though. I believe it takes more THC to degrade in order to produce the equal amount of CBN. Therefore, the tradeoff is probably not desirable for most.

I've noticed a correlation with darker and/or purple buds being more couchlocky. This is not the rule or the exception, merely an observation.

Some nice couchlock strains I've tried:

Bubba Kush
Grand Daddy Purple
P$&*#(kitty) Kush
A strain actually named Couchlock (duh!)
Blackwater
Darkstar
Cadillac Kush

I'm sure there's more, but I forget... big surprise right? These are all Indica/Indica dominant strains...

I just grew a northern lights hybrid, "Blue Mystic", but harvested at peak ripeness. BDP is looking like a popular option.
