CFLs

No Title

Here is a fair comparison, that is a single T-5 Nano Tech 2-foot fluorescent by Sunblaster on the bottom facing upward, and the P-400 by Platinum LED on from the top and this photo was taken to prove the point of how deep down the LED is clearly penetrating through the canopy of the plants from the top down. It was questioned if the canopy was actually dense and just how much depth was I really getting the LED through, so this photo was set up to try to answer that question. But you can see for yourself the kind of light penetration each of the two lights is making through the layers of foliage.

Just a quick apology. Life got between me and participation on this forum and I lost all my log in info. In fact, I forgot I even had an account until I tried signing up again and discovered my user name was taken! (Must have been something I smoked.) But I'm thrilled to be back on track and look forward to participating and learning. Thank you to everyone who took time to give me your input!

(As a side note, I went with an HPS over CFLs and am now considering adding one or two LEDs.)

Hi baphomat, it was long suggested that I switch from cfls and go to led. I bought a king 1000watt led from amazon and couldn’t be happier! A little over $100 if I remember correctly? I’m on my 2nd grow with 3 clones I took from the mother plant, gorilla glue #2!
