Hi, Upnorth.
To my understanding, the amount of CBD, THC or other cannabinoids a plant produces is genetically determined. If you are growing a high CBD strain it should automatically do so.
Pistil color and trichome color are key indicators of when to harvest. From the pistil pictures, your buds are still immature. Go back to the GWE main site. They have a TON of info and pics on how to time your harvest.

When the Pixels turn color I blame it on my camera, when the pistils turn orange/brown and recede I start checking with a loop. LoL
I have only grown a couple of CBD strains and back then I got mixed reports on when to harvest, when the trichomes are cloudy or amber. If you want something to make you sleep let them go to almost all amber. I grew one for a friend that had stage 4 throat cancer and made canna caps with the bud and he claimed he never slept before then and with in a hour of popping 2 it was lights out

I went with mostly cloudy trichomes for mine too since I was aiming for more of a mellow effect. I’ve been experimenting a bit because I’m curious how CBD-rich strains with different harvest windows might affect my focus—especially looking into cannabis ADHD treatment. Slight differences in harvest timing really make a noticeable shift in how alert or relaxed the end result feels for me.
