After and before defoliation, 3rd week 12/12. This is the first time that I nipped off bud sites below that I allowed to grow last time. So I'm trying to see if I wind up with larger colas because I eliminated those lower sites.
I also put in the T5s or T7s, whatever they are...

I love my T5 fixture...runs cool, and lots of light for the buck. prob more reliable in the long run than my new LEDs...but who knows?
 
Paracelsus, I don't know if sea of green would work best with sativas, cuz they usually have a lot of lateral branching...
 
I saw either Growmau5, or VaderOG run them in a test and were less than impressed, thought it was a gimmicky waste of energy, I also saw a im?proved Bulb. Since I just acquired a 4 and an 8 lamp 48" T5 fixture and bulbs I'm looking for the latest tech on the lamps. Still researching.
 
I'm looking for a good veg light that would keep 8 plants well. Also not use a ton of power. I use two 150 hps right now and they keep 10 looking pretty good. Would also like something for a supplemental lighting for my 600 watt hps grows. The middle does great the edge suffer a little and probably more that there's no tent around it. Was thinking about small led panels or strips, maybe even a couple cobs. Ideally I would like something on all four sides but could rotate if I had to.
 
I researched some more and found that the Bad Bot T5 Ballast matches the BB Bulb with a boost in spectrum and efficiency with the same power, but they are priced in the Mh/HID entry level range and higher even. It's an old technology how much can they tweek it vs. how much they can hype it. Its a nice fixture design.
 
Rosetta I run t5s for veg I have a 4 foot 8 bulb fixture , I can run all different bulbs never had a problem with them I buy at growershouse.com for the best prices. In my bloom room I hung 4 foot light bars by lightmetel they are 100 watts look at pictures in new grow room. I dont know if they help but they certainly dont harm any plants .I have only used the room for 2 failed grows (timer failed and reveged everything then I had a a male that pollinated everything in the room so now I have the next round in there at 6 weeks they are looking good but I found another male

The end of week three in flower in the small box. I'm doing a little strategic defol. to expose bud sites. I'm going to give them a two-day flush starting this afternoon.

The end of the first week of flower in the big box; there are 23 colas in there. Buds were steady forming this week. Little Mazar in the left rear is two weeks younger than everyone else, but she's hanging in there. The Afghan Kush smells heavenly.
