CarbonFilter Exaust

Hiya,

I have a 20x20 sheet rocked in room in my basement, I only have insulation in floors. I am growing in a 8x8 gorilla tent, My question is, im Useing an 8inch carbon filter exausting into the room, will the filter clean enough not to smell up the room ? If so any suggestions? Id prefer not to vent out side.


Im 2 weeks into my first grow with the help of you guys.

As longs as the filter is rated higher than the max cfm of the fan it should do the job. I use a 6" in a 2x4 gorilla and vent into the same room, no smell at all until the tent is opened. Once the tent is closed the smell goes away again after a while once all the air in the room has gone into the tent through the intake and been scrubbed on the way out of the tent.

I use a 4 inch in a 2x4 I am in the final weeks of flower u would never know. when I open the tent it stinks so good

I use a 8 inch filter and a 747 CFM fan in my 2 foot by 4 foot tent and no smells!

The quality/effectiveness of the filter makes a big difference. I had a cheaper one that would not get the job done and then I got a Phresh (of the same size) and it did do the job. You really won't know till you get there, but to not smell it at all outside the grow room I highly recommend outside exhaust using hard pipe (not accordion foil) ducting. That is what it took for me to totally eliminate every bit of smell outside my grow room.

P.S. There is no smell outside my house either.
