You can get Brita attachments for a kitchen faucet; a bit bulky, but all the water will be filtered so no need to mess with a second container.

Greenpassion, don't worry about having to use carbon-filtered water, any water will work fine, just make sure it's between 6.0-7.0ph, with 6.3ph, almost being perfect.
But if you use RO, water you will need to add Cal-Mag.
You are gonna do fine, just wait and see. KindSoil makes it super easy, just make sure to use the right amount of KindSoil in your pots.
7cups of KindSoil is equal to one pound, so for 3gallon pots, that's 21cups of KindSoil.
