I think this is an awful idea.

I hate the coffee machines that result in locking people into having to buy overpriced cartridges.

Also those cartridges are an environmentally unfriendly way of making coffee or now vaporising cannabis. More unnecessary packaging.

People will be marketed to and fooled into buying a device with lock in and limitations when all they need is a decent vaporizer and a little time to figure out a technique.

Just my point of view.

I hear what you are saying MoreNurgz, but if it eventually comes with reuseable pods that you can fill your self, then I think its pretty cool.

I recently bought a used keurig machine from eBay. It has helped me reduce my coffee intake. I used to drink up to 4 cups a day, just because I made half a pot and it was there. Now I have onely cup, two at the most every day, so for me it helped me reduce. But I do understand your concern about the packaging waste of throw away once and done pods.

I still think its cool.

I can see both sides of the issue here . Everyone likes convenience , and most of us like gadgets . However, a lot of us including me DIY and it's why we grow our own . So to some degree I think we have an independent streak and would rather take care of her own needs . Just my two cents. By the way, kudos to you Insomm. I'm still trying to get down from an entire pot of coffee each morning . So you are rocking it .

Canyon, my doctor ordered me to quit, which I can't completely. Heart racing and high blood pressure and excess stomach acid. So it has really helped. And I have to admit that I like the variety you can get in the little pods. I do understands one's concern about the environmental impact of the excessive packaging. Like I said, on most days, I'm now down to one cup so I don't feel too bad about that.

BTW, an entire pot of coffee a day is way too much!!!. Start making half a pot. LOL

I'm on my 2nd Keurig. I bought it with the intension to cut down on my coffee intake. However it had just the opposite effect. I drink more now. Because of the convenience.

Kingfish, one thing I have done, is keep de-caf pods on hand. I never made decaf coffee in my life, but now if I want a cup and think I don't need the caffeine, I just use a decaf. And I love my flavored creamers, so I can't really taste the difference.
