HELP! Can you save a harvested plant?

Hello all,

I have a plant that I have partially harvested due to the lower buds not receiving much light during the grow. Over the past couple of weeks these buds have put on quite a bit of weight so I'm going to finish up the harvest next week sometime.

This particular plant had incredible genetics but I missed the window to clone her it seems as the original cutting never rooted. I got inpatient and switched to flowering without a clone. I tried to take another cutting 2 weeks into flowering and it still refused to root.

Is there any way I can save the genetics of this plant? For example after finishing up the harvest can u leave some lower branches and send it back into veg to get another chance at taking clones?

Or am I fighting a losing battle, if you reveg the original plant does her potency drop for a 2nd cycle?

Not sure what to do for the best but I really want to save this plant.

I can vouch for this. I harvested this plant and left 1 leaf on it and threw it into veg with my babies. This is 3 weeks after harvest so it can be done. I'll put a post when I flower her a second time.

This last grow one I had chopped & set outside - meaning to dump it out but I got distracted & then lazy- threw new growth. I didn't keep it though.

So even after reveg is it better to keep the original plant or then clone it and start a fresh with the clone as far as quality of the end product is concerned?

Appreciate your help
 
I'd wait till the reveg grows nice n thick & keep a couple cuttings when you thin it out or when you defoliate & start flowering. You'll git 3 runs from the same plant!
 
I've cloned from a flowering plant before. I took four cuttings from a Purple Haze after I ran out of seeds. One failed to root, two rooted but never got their vigor back. The fourth one was a monster producer because of the wacky way they bush out and budmaking goes into overdrive.

If you're feeling lucky you can try it, but if saving that individual's genetics is important then reveg it before taking clones.
